Dear Jenny and families
We are so sorry for your loss. Mike was a great friend. A friend who we remember so dearly as he was such an agreeable man. Mike could never possibly upset anyone as it wasn’t in his nature. If there were any disagreements or things going wrong Mike would take it in his stride and deal to it in his own unflappable way. That was Mike and we loved him for it. We also know he was a hard working man who loved all his family very much.

To the Boland and Koorey families,
Our sincere condolences for the loss of a wonderful man; our supportive friend and historic neighbour, Mike.
Many memories formed and shared, over the lead up to yearly festive times, birthdays and the neighbourly drinks and catch ups in particular. Times like these remind you of the importance and infinite joys of friendship and human connection.
Although as a family we have moved on from the Wellington region, we will always still hold our friendship dear and will miss you, Mike.

To Jenny, Liam, Siobhan and the extended family my sincere condolences on your loss. May comfort and strength surround you at this time of sadness.
Michael thank you for our years together and for being a great dad to our sons Deane & Shaun and granddad to Amelia and Imogen. Today (14th August) we gathered together and raised a glass of Moet to send you on your way and thank you for the many happy memories of family times spent together.
After your stroke some years ago you bounced back and even when things didn´t go well you always had a positive outlook but when your latest illness kicked in the light went out of your eyes and the last few months of your life were certainly not kind to you. You often questioned “why me” but it is like they say “only the good get taken first” and you were certainly one of the good ones as your many friends will attest.
You touched the lives of many and your passing will leave a huge gap in your family´s lives. You will always be remembered as being “a good bloke” who was, kind, gentle, a role model and a man who loved his family.
I was so grateful that your passing was peaceful and that Deane, Victoria and Imogen were with you till the end.
As your journey on earth has ended may you rest in peace knowing you leave behind people who loved you.
