TRIBUTES

Jackie Bedford

I honour Penelope as an early (and it could be said – founding) member of the Wellington School of Philosophy. She continued with this study of practical philosophy for around 60 years and was a companion to many at events such as study days and retreats. She also assisted in care of Philosophy House, including looking after plants and setting up a music room. Best wishes to Penelope’s family at this time. May she rest in peace.

William Robertson

Penelope was a very efficient officer and skilled cartographer of the Department of Lands & Survey and the Department of Survey and Land Information. She served as Secretary of the NZ Geographic Board and was a very effective, dedicated and competent officer.
