Sad day today to attend Rob’s farewell. He was a man who I was comfortable to be in company of. I worked with Rob for several years as part of the Renewals & Overdues branch at Government Life and then Tower. We got on pretty well as it seemed we had a similar taste in music and we were both very quick with one-liners and comebacks, though I have to admit that Rob was quicker at it than I was. Funny now when I think back but he never referred to me by my first name, it was always ‘Weaver’. I was shocked and stunned to hear of his passing albeit the circumstances of such. I know he will be sadly missed, a void very difficult to fill. My condolences to Alida and family.
