Alistair James McLachlan – OBE

Died peacefully 14 August 2024 aged 92 years.

Caring partner of Shirley and dear husband to the late Patricia. Loved father and father-in-law to Andrew and Cath, Jo and John, and Sarah and Murray . Proud grandad to his 9 grandchildren.

From Ailsa — to my brother — I send my heart-felt thanks for your love and friendship. You guarded me, with kindness, through childhood and exemplified all that is good in a family, a brother, a husband, and a father.
Our parents were justifiably proud of you for your honesty, respect, and accomplishments. I am too. I love you.
From John — the greatest gift I received in life was to have been accepted into the McLachlan clan. You enhanced that, which I will always remember with fondness and respect.

Our heart felt condolences to the family on Alistair’s passing. We have such warm memories of the time spent together at Honeymoon Bay. A special place, for great times loved by both our families.
