Paul Rodway

Rodway, Paul Nicholas, passed away 26 March aged 76 years. Much loved father of Tristan and Ceallaigh, and father in law of Nathan. Wonderful poppa to Brooklyn and Alessia. Special thanks to Huntleigh Home, Karori. A service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at Lychgate Funeral Home, 306 Willis St at 10am on Monday 31 March, followed by a burial at Mākara Natural Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that I, and many people at the Treasury where Paul worked for many years, heard of his passing. Below is the message that I shared with Treasury staff who knew Paul and several others with whom he worked. I know that they will feel the same way about a man who was both a colleague and a good friend.

Those of us who knew Paul will remember him as a fine, supportive colleague, with a sharp mind and a generous, cheerful nature. He was a great athlete, putting many of us younger than him to shame with his times. He had a great love of music, and was also the best person to go to with any questions relating to grammar. Rest in peace, Paul, you were a good man.
