On behalf of ACEM staff and the NZ Faculty Members, we would like to send our deepest condolences to you and your family following the recent passing of Leanne. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and we wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I am so sad and shocked to hear of Leanne’s passing. I worked with her during her time at ACEM. I was in the Melbourne office at that time, project managing New Zealand-related advocacy. I also grew up in Nelson, and we discovered that we had both attended Waimea College, although I was a few years younger. I liked and respected Leanne enormously. We hadn’t been in contact for a couple of years – geography and the pandemic – but I had very much been hoping to catch up with her again in Wellington.
My sincerest condolences to Malcolm and all of Leanne’s loved ones.

Will miss our little chats & giggles at work. I’ll also miss your smiling face. They say the good ones get taken early & in your case that is very true.
Go fly with the angels my dear friend. God speed to you.

Leanne is my cousin (Mums brothers daughter), I was saddened to hear of her passing. I hadn’t seen her since an extended family event in Nelson, in the mid late 1990s, but I remember her well from then, and previous extended family get togethers especially up in the Nelson/Tasman region, as this very beautiful girl and lady, beautiful inside and out. She was a shining light, and lit up every room that she walked into with her presence and light. One of the most kindest and sweetest persons that I have had the pleasure to know. She had a gift of how to be fully present in every moment. Heaven will be a better place for her having returned Home to Source. My condolences to all her family, friends and loved ones. Godspeed.

I didn’t know Leanne well or for long but I could tell she a was special person- clever, kind and fun. I will think of her every time I hear ‘Blue Monday’. Sending love to all of those lucky enough to have been close to her.
