Margaret Clarke

Passed away peacefully aged 92, on 13 May 2026 in hospital after a short illness. 

Much loved Mum to Ben, Mother-in-law to Michele, Grandma to Bianca and Siobhan, and Great-Grandma to Harry, Frankie, Georgia, Charlotte and Brooklyn.

Thank you to the district nurses who cared for Margaret so well over the past year, and to all the kind staff at Ward 6 East, Wellington Hospital who were involved with her care. A special thanks also to Justine from Palliative Care.

A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at Lychgate Funeral Home in Johnsonville, on Friday 22 May at 10.30am.

Dear Family,
It was a privilege to attend Margaret ahead of the District Nurse over quite some months, and earlier on in her journey as well. We quickly realised we were fellow Christians and Presbyterian as well. Margaret took an interest in her health progress and all was done that could be. I did call in to the ward but sadly, too late to interact as Margaret died within a few hours. Well done, good and faithful servant. God bless you, each one. She loved you all so much.
