I am so very sorry to hear of Pam’s passing. I met her through Scottish country dancing clubs in Tawa and Johnsonville, and saw her more recently at a local stroke club lunch at the Porirua Club and gatherings at Zampelles cafe in Johnsonville. I found Pam to be a lovely person and all my sympathies are with you.

Dear Ross,
I was so deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of your beloved wife. She was a truly lovely woman warm, gracious, and someone who always left people feeling a little brighter for having been in her company. Her absence will be felt by so many.
I know how long you were together and how devoted you were to one another. There are no words that can ease the heartbreak of losing a lifelong partner, but I hope the love you shared and the memories you hold bring you some comfort in time.
Dad would want you to know that he is thinking of you, and he sends his love. Your friendship has meant a great deal to him over the years, and to our whole family.
Please know that I am holding you close in my thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Wendy

Dear Mr Fletcher
I met you on the 14th of November in the ICU waiting room. I was the volunteer on reception. I was so touched when you told me of Pam’s story and her amazing recovery from her illness of 18 months ago. Your love for her was palpable and I felt so honoured to hear you talk of how you met- your blind date, your 47 years of marriage and of how she was now coming back from the operating theatre to ICU to go into battle again. Sadly her recovery was not to be and I just wanted to send you my sympathy and let you know I am thinking of you. Take care and bless you.

Dear Ross,
Thankyou for allowing me to share in your farewell to Pam. It was a privilege to have been a friend when we were doing our nurse training many years ago.
Best wishes Margaret.
