Passed away at Wellington Hospital on the 16/10/2025 while holding Lucy’s hand. Son of Patricia Follas (dec) and Kenneth Follas (dec), Adored partner of Lucy Hill for 44 years, loved brother in-law of Jane and Simon Hill, Sara and Patrick Mccunnie and “Tanta John” to Jesse, Richard, Finn, Shannel, Jasper, Maisie, Charlie and Grace.

Lucy and family, I am sorry I cannot be with you to honour Johns life and commiserate with you. Having worked with John, laughed with him, learnt from him and of course tasted some very fine wines with him, I know how much he treasured the life and home he enjoyed with you Lucy.
