Kalala Claira Godwin

Godwin, Kalala passed away at Mary Potter Hospice Wellington peacefully on Friday 23rd of January 2026. Age 40.

Dearly loved wife of Oscar, Mother of Zoe and Zia. A service to celebrate Kalala’s life will be held at Lychgate Johnsonville on Saturday 31/01/26 at 9.30am followed by a burial at Whenua Tapu Cemetery. Tributes for Kalala can be left at lychgate.co.nz/upcomingfunerals.

Thank you Oscar, Zoe and Zia for sharing Kalala with us. As I was part of her work family one of the many im sure she came home to complain about as she always seemed to threaten me and everyone else with a knuckle sandwich. So much that it became part of the lore of the tory street warehouse as well as calling us all buuuuholes 🤣 will miss the chats we had about our girls the complaints we had about manager especially the cackle she had be for telling everyone to shut. Here’s to the lady who shone the brightness in our life. Much love to you and your family from mine.
