Dearest Susie,

We are so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beautiful mum. My heart truly goes out to you and your family.

Although I never had the privilege of meeting her, I know she must have been an incredibly special woman to have raised someone as kind and caring as you. I can’t imagine how difficult this time must be, but I hope you can find some comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the precious memories you’ll always carry in your heart.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I’m sending you the biggest hug and all my love. May your mum rest peacefully, and may you find strength and comfort in the days ahead.

With all our love and deepest sympathy,
Jane And Ricky

Dear U, Khine, Chaw, Suzie and Wanna.

Our heartfelt sorrow for the loss of an incredible wife, mum, grandmother and aunty.

I’m glad to have known Aunty and you all since I was young, and to have been able to see her over these last years . Her smile and vibrancy remained despite her challenges. Her legacy lives on of which she is so immensely loving and proud of you all.

We are sorry we can’t be there in person but will be watching from afar.

Much love from the Taylor Clan xxxxx

To the Htay family,

My beautiful friend, I know there are no words that can truly ease the heartbreak of losing your mum. The bond you shared was so special, and I know how much of your heart belongs to her. Watching how you and your sisters care for her a reminder of what a precious gift a mother’s love truly is.

Although her physical presence is gone, everything she gave you remains. Her values, her wisdom, her laughter, her traditions and her unconditional love will continue to guide you every day. She lives on in the person you are, how you care for others and in everything you do.

Remember that we here for you through this very difficult time. You are very strong Suzie and you feel so deeply but just know we are only a phone call away. This type of grief is on another level and hits you in ways you cannot always foresee.

Be kind to yourself. You won’t have to face it alone.

May your beautiful mum rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she gave so generously throughout her life.

Love you my friend x

Sending all my love to you today as you lay Auntie to rest. She was so much more than a host mum to me—she made me feel like true family and her home was always filled with warmth, kindness and food.

I am so deeply grateful that I got to visit her last month and spend that special time together. I will hold onto those beautiful memories forever. While it breaks my heart that I cannot be there with you in person today, please know that my heart is in Wellington with you all.

Rest in peace, Auntie. Thank you for everything.

Life is indeed interesting. We treasure the days we knew the whole family since the 1970s struggling in Burma and 1990s for a better future in New Zealand. Celebrating your overwhelming successes and the continued friendship we shared is our comforting remembrance. Rest in peace Ma Kauk.

To the family,
Having had the privilege of meeting each and every one of you and sharing precious moments together, I feel truly grateful to have known her through the love that surrounded her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. The moments shared, her laughter, her beautiful smile, and the joy she brought to those around her will never be forgotten. She had a remarkable way of brightening the lives of others, and that light will continue to shine through the memories we hold close.

She fought a courageous battle with incredible strength and determination. While the illness may have taken her from this world, the love of her family and friends gave her countless reasons to keep fighting, living, and cherishing every moment.

May she now rest in eternal peace. May she watch over each of you with the same love, smile, and laughter that she so generously shared in life. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

My deepest condolences are with you all during this difficult time.
