Ian Derek Douglas (Derek):
Passed away peacefully at Mary Potter Hospice, Wellington, on 30 July 2026. Dearly loved husband of Louise. Much loved Dad and father-in-law of David, Caron and Anthony, and Richard and Lynda. Cherished Poppa of Jackson and Katie, Grace, Mackenzie, Harrison and Maya, Tobias, Oliver, Maya, Isaac, Theodore, and Clara. A service to celebrate Derek’s life will be held at 10.30am on Friday 7 August at Wellington Central Baptist Church, 46 Boulcott Street, Wellington.

Dear Louise and family, I was so sorry to hear via Judith that Derek lost his battle to live. He put up a good fight but it was not to be.
