Brian(lived up the road and met in 1841 often)
I had many laughs with Hans,i still remember the story he told me about arriving in NZ and being
invited out to dinner at a workmates house. His motor scooter had broken down so he was late for dinner.
i better not repeat the last bit here. But just one of his many funny stories.
He and his humour will be missed.

I will miss running into Hans at various places around Wellington he always had a good sense of humour and wonderful stories about his adventures in life. He ,Gina and Fred would have walked many miles together when out and about. Every time I hear the song Edelweiss I think of Hans.

Dear Aunt Gina,
I am thinking of you during this sad time.
Uncle Hans will always remain in my memory as the funny, warm-hearted optimist he was. I am grateful for his love, which could always be felt despite the great distance between Austria and New Zealand. He was an exceptional man and in my thoughts he ist reunited with his brother exploring nature, hiking mountains and living young boys adventure.
Sending you a big hug and keeping you close in my thoughts.
Lots of love ***

Onkel Hans du warst mein ganz besonderer Taufpate. Tief in meinem Herzen für immer.
Ruhe in Frieden.

Dear Aunt Gina,
We all are thinking of you during this sad time.

In Loving Memory of Our Dear Uncle Hans

Some people leave footprints on our hearts that never fade. Our dear Uncle Hans was one of those special people.

Although life and distance separated us over the years, he always remained our favorite uncle, and we will carry the memory of him with us forever.

Hans lived life with energy, courage, and joy. As a passionate skier, he felt at home in the mountains, embracing every challenge with determination and a smile. He taught those around him that life is meant to be lived fully and with enthusiasm.

What we will remember most, however, is not his talent on the ski slopes, but the wonderful person he was. Hans was generous beyond measure, always ready to help others. He had a great sense of humor and could light up a room with his laughter. Most of all, he was kind-hearted, caring, and genuine—a man whose warmth touched the lives of so many.

Whenever we think of him, we think of a man who made the world a little brighter simply by being in it. His kindness, his laughter, and his adventurous spirit will remain treasured memories.

Today, we say goodbye with sadness, but also with deep gratitude for having known and loved him. His life was a gift to all who shared it, and his memory will continue to live on in our hearts.

Farewell, dear Uncle Hans. Thank you for the love, the laughter, and the inspiration you gave us. May you now find peace among the mountains you loved so much.

You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

With all our love,

Linde und Veit, Vici und David, Alex und Mira und Mona.
