With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gerry at Wellington Hospital.
Cherished husband of Marie of 63 years, Loved Dad/father in law of Duncan & Kirsty and Campbell & Geoleen.
Grandad to Lachie, Isla, Tobias and Riley (Australia).
Brother/Brother in law of Bob and Anne.

A private family cremation has been held with the celebration of Gerry’s life to be held at Gerry’s beloved St John’s Anglican Church on Tuesday 16th December at 1pm.

Gerry, you will be missed by your family and friends from St Johns Church, Johnsonville Bowling club and Model Railway. Rest in Love.

Special thanks for all the kind wishes, flowers and meals, the care Gerry received from Wellington Free Ambulance, the Intensive care team and Ward 5 South at Wellington Regional Hospital and to Kerry and Ben who have been so patient and caring with us as we say our goodbyes to Gerry.

Dear Marie
I worked with Gerry for a number of years at Telecom. He was the best manager I ever had. He was kind and considerate and I (and many others) loved working for him. There were many laughs working for Gerry although sometimes he was easily shocked – and sometimes we took advantage of that. I was there when he gave up smoking and we had to help him with that. We have caught up a few times since, mainly over a curry. He will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Much aroha to you and the whanau
