In loving memory of my brother and dearest friend . I used to call Rajen by a nickname Charlie. We were very close buddies in Fiji. Charlie was my cousin and part of my family’s story, and that’s something I’ll always hold close. I loved calling him Charlie because of his warmth and kindness and the jokes we shared.
Though life took us along different paths, the family we share is a bond that distance never undoes. I’m grateful for the connection we had .
Brother I will miss you. May you rest in peace, surrounded by love. You will be remembered warmly, and with a smile.

Uma Manik Chand & family

Raj was my very best boss in my 37 years working in NZ. He was like a father /older brother to me; a very caring person. He was a good friend, we always looked out for each other. A very good mentor, so calm, he taught me a lot. He was so passionate about his job and supportive of the Team.
It ended where it all started, I was hired while on holiday in the US in 2022, and now in 2026 Raj, you are gone while I am on holiday in the US again! In the same city after 4 years.
Thank you for who you were because I would have not stayed longer for the job if not for you, my good boss. Rest well in eternal peace our new guardian angel.
