Bob Silbery

Please join us in celebrating Bob Silbery's life
SILBERY, Robert David (Bob)
Skilled technician, gifted musician, idiosyncratic contrarian. Loved brother of Lesley and Susan, and Uncle Bob to their children and grandchildren. Friend and musical collaborator of many.
Left us early in the morning of Saturday, 24 October 2026 a few weeks short of his 81st birthday.
Cared for by the staff at the Vincentian Home, Berhampore, over the past 3 years – to whom sincere thanks.
A farewell gathering is to be held for family and close friends at Lychgate, 306 Willis Street, Aro Valley, Wellington, at 2 pm Tuesday 3 November 2026.
Messages may be posted online at https://lychgate.co.nz/send-a-tribute/. A later celebration of Bob is also intended, details likely to be circulating via social media around mid-November. Post how you may best be contacted if you want to be kept informed.

Don Franks Wellington
Bob Silbery I first knew as a distinctive and busy bass guitar player around the Wellington area. Many a gig was energized by Bobs well chosen rhythms. In later years I regularly saw Bob when our band played at Vincentian rest home. Today as we set up, staff informed us that Bob was no longer with us. We dedicated the concert to our fellow musician.Rest in peace brother
