URLICH, Phillipa Rosemary (née Bowker):

Passed away on 5 August 2026 at Wellington Regional Hospital, following surgery, with her loving family by her side. Aged 70 years. Cherished daughter of the late Phillip and Cecelia.

Dearly loved wife of Denis. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of David & Ali, and Kate & Pete. Adored Grandma of Isabelle, Harriet and Indigo. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Graeme & Carol, and Geoff & Deb.

A proud Chartered Accountant, and a competitor to her core – tennis, squash, golf and snooker. She gave her parents and aunts the same fierce devotion in their final years.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of the lovely Phillipa. She will be missed. Sincere condolences to her family. I knew Phillipa as a very supportive client and advocate of my fashion business. She has been a great friend to our little boutique in Wellington for many years. The last time I saw Phillipa, she just about talked me into doing a special range of snooker shirts just for her.

Dear Denis and family, I am so saddened with the news of Phillipa’s passing. She was a friend and fellow accountant who would be in touch when she came to Auckland, several times staying. It was always a joy to spend time with her. Sincere condolences to you all.

So sad to hear of our dear cousin Phillipa’s passing. We have so many fond memories of time spent with her & family especially on christmas visits to Wellington & Waikanae and to her & Kate’s visit 2 Ireland with us Dwyers for ou parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Phillips was such a devoted mother & grandmother and also a caring cousin, especially in the later years of her parents’ and our aunts’ lives. We wish lots of strength to Denis & family in this very sad time.
