Remembering Leo as a warm and knowledgeable colleague at Ministry of Education. Always ready with advice, insight or a shared mainly funny observation. A privilege to have known him.

Leo sang with me in MaleVocale and in Vocal Blokes. His bright demeanour and strong tenor voice were appreciated by ensemble members along with his genuine interest in and care for each member. Carol and I also came close to Leo aside from tlmes when concerts took us on stage. His absolute strength when ill and his dedicated faith were quietly conveyed in a considered way and I enjoyed the discussions we had aligning our different views regarding spirituality. Being close to him when he was first ill helped me learn from his insights and vision. To his very caring family whom he loved so much, Arohanui Nga mihi mahana and peace.
