Also known as Joey, 68, of Tawa, Wellington, passed away unexpectedly on 2 September 2024. Born on 21 February 1956 to Apolonia Enriquez and Manuel Cabrera. He was an accountant by profession but was known to be a jack of all trades, the best advice giver, fixer of all things broken, an audiophile of the highest degree, and a humble charity worker. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. A funeral service to celebrate Joey’s life will be held at Lychgate Chapel, 7 Johnsonville Road, Johnsonville on Tuesday 10 September 2024 at 10am.

I knew Joey through Tawa MenzShed. His passing is a big shock and a big loss. His ability to know and explain how to fix just about anything was amazing and very much appreciated. His willingness to help others was an example to us all. He will be very much missed.

I also have got know Joey through Tawa MenZshed, l have lots of memories of getting advice from Joey or sharing a way of tackling a problem with him. My last memory only last week – he was helping another member repair some portable lights and Joey had it well in hand. We will miss you Joey.
