In Memory of Bill Grant
It’s hard to say goodbye to someone as kind and generous as Bill. He was a true gentleman and a dear friend whose quiet support meant so much to our Digital Assurance Community of Interest since day one. I’ll always remember our coffee catch-ups, the laughs we shared, and the stories we swapped – especially about the US trip with his wife in 2023. Funny how we ended up having almost the same itinerary, just a month apart – Hawaii and Las Vegas, though he did one better with the Alaska cruise.
Goodbye, my friend. Rest in eternal peace in God’s loving embrace. You’ll be deeply missed.

A kind and generous man to a tee, a man with a vast array of talents and knowledge which he never hesitated to share, yet humble in wanting to always learn and grow. To me … a great friend who will be missed (especially remembering our long lunches, and who knew on Friday 9 May… was to be our last one together.. when I told you that you would surely be a fantastic Grand Dad). Rest in eternal peace, my friend. To your beloved family, my sincere condolences. May comfort and strength surround you all at this time.

Too sudden to be taken away from us, Bill was a dear friend, a captivating character who was intelligent, funny, thoughtful, open minded.
He loved his family and enjoyed both in depth work related conversations, and going for coffee for chit chat and banter. He loved a cheese scone. His sudden death has shaken us and we wish his family and friends all the love and support in remembering him. He’ll be sorely missed.

It was a lovely service for Bill Grant today.
I knew Bill for nearly two and half years since I started at DIA. Bill was very professional, knowledgeable, experienced, a straight shooter, helpful and very friendly.
Bill was a founding member of our DACOI (Digital Assurance Community of Interest). He will be very pleased to know that DACOI is alive and going well.
Only a week before his passing, I was fortunate enough to complete Bill’s survey on Carter Observatory experiences for his Marketing paper at Victoria University.
Keep smiling on us Bill.
Rest in peace Bill, we will miss you. 🙏
