Sheila Williams

WILLIAMS, Sheila, passed away at home after a very brief illness on 31 March 2025 aged 86. Sheila was dearly loved by her many cousins and friends. Daughter of the late Canon Nigel and Nora Williams, and sister of the late Priscilla. A service to celebrate Sheila’s life will be held in St Peter’s on Willis, Wellington, on Saturday 12 April at midday, followed by a private cremation. Join the livestream below. Sheila was a stalwart of Wellington life. She and Priscilla seemingly everywhere all at once. To have given so much is remarkable. It’s both sad and unfathomable that Sheila and her sister won’t be in the foyer before and after so many cultural events.
