TRIBUTES

Mary Gow
We remember Betty with much fondness. She was the one who welcomed us to St Johns in 2006 when we arrived from Brussels to live in Paekakariki. Her memory was amazing – even last year in December she asked me about my concerts in Brussels.
Always interested is our activities.
An amazing woman and always remembered. RIP Betty.

As the son of Betty’s cousin , the late Logan Russell , I just wanted to say how loved & admired she was by our family. And especially remembered for her compassion and kindness ….Dad always said you could rely on Betty to help others in times of need . I’m so glad I got to visit her a final last time last July in Wellington . Particular fond memories for me of January summer holidays to the Robertson family bach at Te Horo beach up on the Kapiti Coast . Her 102 years were a joyous , wonderful life , so fully lived . She will be greatly missed by so many people . God bless you Betty.

Our family have the privilege to have met this great lady Margret Beth Betty, we know her as Betty, we are so Bless to have met Betty, we were stranger into Wellington. Taking our daughter Alice to VICTORIA University with no where to go, we went to St John church. Betty, was the only one came to say hellow to us out of all the people in the Church. That was the beginning of a wonderful relationship. She also invited so many overseas student to her house for meals after Sunday services. Her strength was unstoppable. At her 80 she still drives student to the hospital in early hr of the morning, they would rung her up for they could not drive themselves or have no car. We shares her stories with laughter her memories inspirations made me inspired to even try to do the same. She was the best of the best I have ever met.
